Experience & Techniques
Sian's career began as a counsellor and psychotherapist working in private practice in Bendigo. During her time in Bendigo, Sian completed a 4 + 2 psychology internship, which allowed her to build on her skills as a psychotherapist to include new therapeutic frameworks and perspectives. This gave Sian an appreciation for both non-diagnostic and diagnostic work. Working in a regional setting provides access to a diverse array of presentations, which is incredibly fulfilling as a psychologist. Sian has a particular love for working with trauma and attachment-trauma, as well as working with adolescents and young adults.
Sian used a range of techniques including Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Schema Therapy and Play therapy
