With a passion for interpersonal relationships and a curiosity about the human experience, Sakina was naturally drawn to the discipline of psychology. Being in this profession gives her great joy to provide a non judgemental platform for the client and for being able to make a positive difference in their journey. With a keen interest in child psychology as well, she believes that the impact of childhood memories and experiences stays lifelong and wants to make it better in any way possible to equip client with that, one day at a time. She also believes in strengths based approach to help client build self awareness to reach their ideal self.

Experience & Techniques

Sakina began her career in psychology in a public sector with a diverse range of chronic mental health concerns in long-term, adult, in-patients. The presentations included but were not limited to personality disorders, schizophrenia, delusional disorders and substance dependence/induced disorders. Thereafter, she worked for 3 years in a private clinic set up primarily with children. With presentations such as Autism, ADHD, ODD, depression and anxiety related disorders in children. Sakina also assessed, diagnosed and used various modes of therapeutic interventions as per the client need. Sakina has worked across all developmental age ranges, wherein, her interest lies in teenage and young adults. As she believes this to be a crucial time of developing individuality and is a great opportunity to witness the client develop thorough understanding of making a conscious positive change in their life. She also has a keen interest in interpersonal relationships being one of the key factors in developing and impacting an individual's psyche.
