With a calm and kind personality, Claudie brings an eclectic approach in dealing with client issues. She specialises in using CBT within a Systems framework amongst other modalities such as, Schema Therapy, Art Therapy with children, mindfulness techniques, ACT and DBT. Having worked successfully with individuals and families over the years, Claudie has a breath of experience supporting clients with adjusting to the many challenges that life brings such as, new parenthood, changing countries, job loss, stress/anxiety, bullying, and relationship issues. Claudie also run group programs on mindfulness, parent-child interactions, couple groups and Father’s groups.

Experiences and Techniques

Claudie has worked as a psychologist in various roles across both the private and public sectors. She began her career as a TAFE Counsellor, focusing on migrant adjustment issues, war trauma, and grief. She then joined the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service, helping clients with injuries and disabilities find employment. At Centrelink, Claudie served as a Team Leader Psychologist, working within the Early Intervention in Psychosis program and supporting refugee families with adjustment challenges. More recently, she has worked at Tresillian, assisting parents and their children in adjusting to their new roles. In addition to her work with families, Claudie has extensive experience helping returned soldiers manage PTSD symptoms and working with couples and families. Claudie employs a range of techniques including CBT, Mindfulness Based CT as well as emotional release techniques such as Art Therapy
